‘Singam’ to roar in Sandalwood

After stealing hearts in Tamil and Telugu, ‘Singam’, the Suriya starrer, is all set to speak in Kannada. Popular Sandalwood producer Shankare Gowda has acquired the remake rights of the movie, we learn.
If sources are to be believed, the Kannada version has been named ‘Kempe Gowda’ and Sudeep will play the role of a police officer, which was beautifully enacted by Suriya in the Tamil original directed by Hari.
It is said that Sudeep himself would wield the megaphone too. “He had directed ‘Just Math Mathalli’, which has Ramya opposite Sudeep himself, for the same producer Shankare Gowda,” sources add.
They also have it that Kempe Gowda was the name of the person, who founded Bengaluru and hence the title has enormous value. ‘Singam’, produced by Studio Green in association with Reliance Big Pictures, was released all over Tamil Nadu by Sun Pictures.
