The Expendables

An awesome action fest!! Thats what you expect from The Expendables and that what u exactly get!! The Expendables team rocked big time! It was such a pleasure to see all these great guys kicking in their own way together!

Let me start by saying the story is weak. Yes the writers missed a few tricks and some abrupt cuts made it look a bit hurried. But then again it has a fairly simple story line. The Main focus has always been the action, style and coolness along with plenty of nostalgia when these greats come together from past and present generation and you expect them to do what they do best! Guns, bullets, knives, bombs, bodies, gore, blood, fire - you get everything!

The cast:- Stallone-Hats off to this guy what a sheer champion! For god sakes he is 64 years old and the stunts and risks he is taking to please his fans are far more than what he used to do in his prime. Total respect for him. There is none like him and at this age doing what he is doing, running and jumping around like he was in his 30s!

Statham is super cool and ultra smooth is his performance. His dialogue delivery was good.

Jetli - The comic of the group, does his usual martial arts..

Lundgren - Watch out for this guys act! Too cool and total Insane!! Much like his earlier days and he looked very fresh too.

Austin - Did well for his part. Good fight scenes with Stallone

Terry crews - Another Cool character. I would want to see more of him in the sequel.

Randy couture - MMA champ takes on WWE champ. What happens is to be seen!

Arnold Schwarzenegger - What an entry! Seeing Arnie after such a long time made me nostalgic and he and Stallone sharing screen space made cinematic history and is one the biggest moments of The Expendables!

Willis - He joined in with the two great people to make it the Golden Three. That scene should be up in the hall of fame.

Rourke - Very yanky daddy character

I thought this movie could have been much better if some of scenes were included and watch out for the cool music as well. All in all a very old-school movie, lots of blood and guts and gore. Its not your cup of tea if you have grown up on sissy films. This is for real men! Thank you Stallone for bringing this and for bringing together such great actors together on the screen.

Robin Hood

Cast: Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Matthew Macfadyen

Director: Ridley Scott

Ridley Scott’s latest action-adventure ride Robin Hood starring Russel Crowe and Cate Blanchett has a number of amazing aspects to it, but as a whole it’s just not enjoyable. Technically all the pieces are there, it was well made, well put together, but with too many details, it felt like sitting through a partially real history lesson with some amazing action sequences. It is late 12th century England and Sir Robin Longstride, Earl of Huntington, (Russell Crowe) has returned to his northern English village after fighting in the Third Crusade. Upon arrival, the nobleman and his servant discover the oppression caused by the new Sheriff (Matthew Macfadyen). Sir Robin frees his home village from tyranny and corruption in England, restoring peace and justice to England. Robin must also win the affection of the recently widowed Lady Marian (Cate Blanchett) while leading his Merry Men of Sherwood Forest.

King Richard only ever spoke French because he was too lazy and conceited to learn English. In fact he even publicly called it a lesser language. In the film, many people speak French but not the King. This movie is just that and sadly for an action-adventure film, this is one of the worst things for it to be. Overall, the hard part about critiquing this movie is that it is by no means a bad movie, it has all the right elements, but it’s just boring. It’s basically just one long set up for a sequel and would like to see.

The Karate Kid

Cast: Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith, Taraji P Henson

Director: Harald Zwart

Twelve year old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) is the most popular kid in Detroit until he and his single mother (Taraji P. Henson) move because of a pivotal career change made by his mother. In their new home of Beijing, Parker falls for a young school student named Mei Ying. Both children find it hard to form a solid friendship with each other because of their cultural differences and because Ying's father does not approve of their relationship. To make matters worse, this attraction makes him the enemy of the infamous bully leader, Cheng, who gives Parker the nickname of 'The Karate Kid' due to his severely limited knowledge of Karate, hence the title of the film.

With the bullies constantly throwing him to the ground, and with no one else to turn to, the outlook for Parker's new life looks bleak until he meets Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who makes a deal with the bullies' kung-fu master that if they let Dre train they can fight Dre in the upcoming tournament. A kung-fu master in secret, Mr. Han teaches Parker kung-fu through unconventional, yet effective techniques to help make life in his new home an easier affair and hopefully stand up to the bullies. It involves training in places such as the Great Wall of China. The entire plot eventually builds up to a grand finale with Dre Parker battling against Cheng and his allies in a large scale Martial Arts Tournament.

Inception Review

Inception as of today, has a rating of 9.6 with almost 1800 votes. That means that probably most of the voters gave it a perfect 10. Brilliant Movie.Christopher Nolan strikes back after Memento and The Prestige with a superb complex plot that keeps your mind puzzled while watching the movie and after the end of it. Direction,Screenplay,Background Music and Star cast is perfect and the viewers are not even given a single chance to move their eye of the screen during the movie. The movie is insanely brilliant and maddeningly clever. Nolan is the best. Inception is the most imaginative and creative sci-fi action film ever. Inception is creating waves all around and breaking records at places. Plots of Nolan's film are always good enough to carry it all the way. Again a masterpiece from Nolan, no one has attempted like this ever, fulfilled the expectation. Caprio did his best and in a nut shell Inceptions is the best film in 2010.
