Audi has unveiled the newer model of Audi A6 which will carry a hybrid engine to robust its fuel consumption and make the car more environment friendly. This is the second car from Audi after the Q5 hosting a hybrid engine. The car will hold an engine which will give a combined power of 245ps and max torque of 420Nm. The engines combined will be a 2.0L TFSI engine with a total power of 211ps and a 33kW electric motor outputting 45ps of power. The things say that the average fuel consumption of 2012 Audi A6 Hybrid will be 38mpg and the car will go from 0-100 in 7.3 seconds. The top speed will be around 238kmph (148mph), although these are the tested approximations and the actual launch might contain few minor changes.
The headlight and tail light system, both will run on LED systems that are much brighter and cooler than the older lightening system. The extra battery is placed in the rear compartment with two air cooling systems; one is from the inside cabin blower and the second one is directly connected to the automatic air conditioning system. They both keep the battery in the standard temperature zone to take the maximum output from it.
The car will be available shortly in the mid of 2011. Expect it to become one of the best cars along with Infiniti M Hybrid or Lexus GS 450H. Infiniti is much likely to give a very tight competition as it is one of the most loved cars among the hybrid ones.
